What is CranioSacral Therapy?

The nervous system is designed to produce normal muscle tonus at 30 stimuli per second. If the body is under stress, physical or emotional trauma, the nervous system stimuli increases its rate per second and if left untreated, this over stimulus to the body will spread to other areas of the body eventually causing a general contraction off all the major muscles, having a profound effect on the entire CranioSacral System as well as all the systems of the body. Bringing the stimuli back down through CranioSacral Therapy will “Pull the plug” on the pain cycle.

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, light touch therapy that facilitates profound physical and emotional changes in the patient by actually re-setting the Nervous System. It is subtle palpating body movements that accentuate and coincide with the CranioSacral pumping action of the cerebral spinal fluid resulting in improved functioning of the brain and spinal cord and resets the Nervous System which decreases the stimuli to overstimulated nerves.

The studies from CranioSacral Therapy show profound results in improved functioning of all the major systems of the body, relaxation of traumatized muscles and organs, more appropriate alignment of the skeletal frame, dissipates the negative effects of prolonged stress and brain fog, and releases accumulated mental/emotional trauma.
